Md. Tajul Islam has 15+ years of international experience in credit assessment, risk management and financial market development. Prior to joining RSA Capital, Tajul worked in Office of Risk Management, Asian Development Bank (ADB), Manila, as International Risk Management Specialist and independently monitored NSO portfolio which included 70 transactions in China, India, Lao PDR, Thailand, Indonesia, Philippine, Pakistan, Vietnam, Kyrgyz Republic, Georgia, Sri Lanka, and Myanmar. He served as an International Consultant to ADB (on PPP/SME/Credit Rating/Economic & Financial Evaluation), JICA (Capital & Bond Market Development in Mongolia), World Bank (Basel II), UNCDF (Municipal Bond), IFC (Private Sector Dashboard), APO (Risk Evaluation), CMDA-Maldives, RMA-Bhutan, Nihon University-Japan (Capital & Bond Market in Asia), Fiji National University by taking part in technical assistance and advisory missions to a wide-range of economies around the world.

He started his career with Credit Rating Agency of Bangladesh (CRAB) as a Financial Analyst in 2004 and took over as Chief Rating Officer of CRAB in 2014, providing leadership, management and vision. During his time at CRAB he rated 7000+ clients totaling over $97 billion bank loan portfolio, $6.27 billion debt instruments and $3.01 billion infrastructure projects across all sectors.
